David on Lie to Me!

Posted by Hider on 01-22-2009 18:17:49 PST

I know I've been way AWOL lately but I promise that will change very soon. In the meantime, I'm dropping off some great news about David. He's headed back to our TV screens! It's only one episode but something's better than nothing, right? TV Guide has the scoop, which I've posted below.

Although there still are no plans for Heroes to resurrect the enigmatic Adam Monroe, David Anders will soon return to your TV screen.

Alias' Sark will guest-star on the second episode of the new Fox drama Lie to Me, which premieres Wednesday, Jan. 21, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Sporting a military-style buzz-cut, Anders will play Sgt. Scott, a commanding officer who is charged by a female soldier with sexual assault. As such, you can count on him having every eye twitch, touch of the temple, wrinkle of the smile and earlobe blush scrutinized and analyzed by Tim Roth's Dr. Cal Lightman aka "the world's leading deception expert."

Starring opposite Roth on Lie to Me is The Practice's Kelli Williams who — and I told her this just last night at Fox's TCA soiree — has never looked better.

As previously reported, Anders recently filmed a starring role in a Sci Fi Channel remake of Children of the Corn, premiere date TBD.

Screen captures and (hopefully) clips will be up soon after it airs.

New Media Vault ; Alias Clips

Posted by Hider on 09-01-2008 12:34:10 PDT

A while back I decided to organize our media section a bit better by putting all the clips into a system similar to our image gallery. A lot of you have managed to already discover it and start downloading clips from there but today I finished up tweaking it into exactly how I wanted it to work so the new media vault is officially open for business.

I'm still in the process of adding all the old media we had but, at the same time, I'll be adding clips I never got around to finishing before. First off, I have eighteen clips from Alias that were missing until now. Each thumbnail set will lead you to the album holding the media from that episode, where you can view the description and then download it if you choose.

Alias, Episode 408: Echoes
Alias, Episode 508: Bob

Next up is the remaining episode from season four and the rest of season five as well so check back soon for all of those :)

Old Candids & An Appearance

Posted by Hider on 08-20-2008 19:12:33 PDT

Welcome to the slightly improved site. I've finally upgraded CuteNews to Fusion to get rid of all that spam and random error generating. So far, it's definitely an upgrade. The layout is my next mission, since I didn't like it when I made it and I like it even less now lol. Look for a new one (hopefully) soon.

In case you didn't catch the article I posted earlier, Bloody Disgusting is reporting that David has been cast in a lead role of Sci-Fi's Children of the Corn remake. The movie is set to premiere on the cable channel sometime next year but so far no more details have been released. And no word on what this will mean for Adam Monroe either since shooting for the movie is set to start on September 3rd in Iowa. As most of you probably know, Adam is set to return during this season's fourth episode.

I've been working on adding all the missing images to the gallery. The three sets of candids that have David filming Into the Blue 2 in Hawaii last May are now in the gallery. Most of them are medium quality but some of the second set are actually high quality. There are also some small pictures of David playing golf in a celebrity tournament sponsored by Dennis Quaid in 2004. You can check them out in the albums listed below.

006 MQ candids from 06/04-06/2004: Jiffy Lube Celebrity Golf Tournament
004 MQ candids from 05/16/2008: On Set of Into the Blue 2
015 VQ candids from 05/17/2008: On Set of Into the Blue 2
001 MQ candids from 05/24/2008: On Set of Into the Blue 2

I'm working on a couple new additions to the site so make sure to check back soon :)

First 'Children of the Corn' Casting News

Posted by Hider on 08-20-2008 01:38:08 PDT

Source: Bloody Disgusting

Bloody-Disgusting learned exclusively today that David Anders ("Heroes", Left in Darkness) and Kandyse McClure ("Battlestar Galactica", "Reaper") are the first to be cast in Anchor Bay and Starz Entertainment's made-for-TV remake of Children of the Corn, which will have it's premiere on the Sci-Fi Channel next year.

Original producer Donald P. Borchers will be directing from his own screenplay. Former Vietnam vet Burt's marriage to Vicky is on the rocks, but Burt hopes to rekindle their old flame with a second honeymoon driving trip. Unfortunately, their journey takes them into the heart of darkness -- a seemingly deserted rural community that conceals a grim secret among its rows of tall corn... Shooting begins September 3rd in Davenport, Iowa.

Heroes Scribe Teases Big Returns, Romance & More!

Posted by Hider on 07-16-2008 20:46:44 PDT

TV Guide ; Matt Mitovich

Daring to venture outside the Beverly Hilton base camp for the TCA press tour, on Wednesday morning I trekked to the extremely rural location where Heroes was shooting scenes involving, um, a familiar character, a brand-new one, and lots of intriguing mural art. Oh yeah, and there was a tortoise.

In between shooting videos with a trio of cast members, I grabbed a few minutes with story editor Chuck Kim. Interestingly, he said that Heroes is better for the WGA strike which forced the NBC series to wrap up its sophomore season in December. Want the Full Story?
